As a Friend of the James L. Hamner Public library, you will be a part of a volunteer group that helps to support one of our community's most valuable resources: it's library. The Friends do for the library what individual friends do for one another: they provide ideas, time, advice, encouragement, and financial support.
We also provide services which are beyond the library budget. We sponsor reading programs, discussions, lectures, exhibits, book talks, and children's activities. We encourage endowments and bequests to the Library. The Friends of the Library is an association of people who love books and want our Library to be a valuable and vital community resource.
