Librarian
The James L. Hamner Public Library in Amelia is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to become our Circulation Librarian as we continue to grow and evolve. The Circulation Librarian is responsible for all areas of circulation, interlibrary loans and some reference work. He or she will also assist the Director in the training and supervision of library assistants and pages. We offer scheduling flexibility, but some evening and weekend hours are required.
The successful applicant must have a college diploma; excellent computer, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and research skills; attention to detail; strong commitment to public service; and abilities to prioritize tasks and work independently. An ALA/MLS, library experience and foreign language skills are preferred.
